Interior Designer Source Needed
70/30, Apartment Therapy, disco queen
Hi friends,
It’s me, bugging you one more time this week. For House Outlook, I’m writing a quick explainer of the 70/30 “rule” in interior design. (Divide the room into a ratio of 70:30 and decorate 70% of the space with your anchor scheme and the other 30% in a different style/s for visual interest.) I’d love an interior designer to weigh on in why this works.
Know a great interior designer who could turn around a couple quick questions by next Wednesday? Email me at megan.leigh.mccarty@gmail.com with the subject line “70/30,” noting who you’re thinking of and linking to their portfolio.

It’s very annoying that I can’t stop thinking about this brick red waxed cotton Alex Mill jacket ($325), especially considering it’s 100 disgusting degrees in LA.
I haven’t rambled on about my love of Dazzle Dry in a minute, so it’s due time I told you that their silver holographic color Disco Queen ($22 for full size, $12 for mini) is the jolt of dance floor energy we all need. (Amazon link here if you prefer.)
If you love a floral fragrance, the new Flower District by Fulton & Roark ($28 for the bar soap to $225 for the extrait de parfum) is springtime in a bottle.
Top notes: rhubarb, ruby grapefruit, Italian lemon
Mid notes: tomato leaf, rose, violet leaves
Base notes: sandalwood, amber resins, birch
